This walk starts at the car park in St Dogmaels, takes in narrow country lanes, some steep hills and is 3.5 miles long.
From the car park, exit onto the main road and turn right, continue along the main street and pass by the junction on your right to Poppit Sands. You should now be on Troed y Rhiw.
Continue along Troed y Rhiw and where the road double backs on itself take the road to the left on the cusp of the corner and head on up the valley.
At the entrance to Bryncws Fach Farm, stop for a while and take a peak through the field gate just before the entrance for a great view over the Ceredigion countryside.
A shortcut can be taken a little further up the road at the entrance to Foxhill – look out for the public footpath sign, this path will bring you out on a lane about halfway through the next paragraph.
Continue up the hill until you arrive at the T-junction and then turn left. At the next crossroads turn left again and follow the small grass verged lane down towards Cwmdegwel. A short distance along this lane you will enter an old woodland with fern clad banks on either side of you, continue on to arrive at the next junction – you are now in Cwmdegwel.
Turn left and follow the lane downhill to arrive back in St Dogmaels and eventually at the main road. Turn left past or via the White Hart Inn and then next right to arrive back at the car park.
